I’m so happy to share another word for 2016 with you from my friend, Jessica. We hope you are encouraged!
The start of 2016 felt different to me this year. I found myself really anticipating what the new year would bring more than I have before. I didn’t feel a desire to make a list of resolutions (although my 9-year old daughter did, and it would probably do me some good to adopt some of her resolutions). So when Allison put out the challenge on her blog to focus on one word I knew that was what I had to do.
As I reflected on 2015 and the challenges I faced personally and financially, as well as the challenges my family and friends were experiencing, I realized that what I was praying for seemed impossible. I found myself praying for things that deep down I didn’t even think could be possible.
Until I was reminded of Matthew 19:26- ” With men this is impossible but with God all things are possible.” (NKJV)
So that became my word for the year…
This year I am committing to take my faith to a new level and believe in the impossible.
What does that mean?
To have the faith that can move the mountains in my life and the lives of my loved ones.
To stop limiting myself, my prayers, and God.
To be reminded that God sees way beyond my own comprehension.
What in your life or the lives of your loved ones seems impossible? Do you need a financial miracle? A miraculous healing? Are you or someone you know struggling with infertility? Grief? Addiction? A broken relationship? No matter what it is take it to God. Don’t limit your prayers or the possibilities of what God can do.
What do you do if you’ve been praying for a REALLY long time for your mountain to move and it hasn’t moved yet?
Keep believing because NOTHING is impossible with God.
